The Fellowship Hall was host to two “Advance Commitment Celebrations” on May 28 and 29, 2014. These events presented members with an opportunity to learn more about the needs the capital campaign is hoping to address and offered an opportunity to ask questions of the campaign committee.
Mike Clingenpeel read a piece he wrote for this week’s Pastor’s Blog entitled, “The Ethical Dimension of Making Music,” and presentations were made by Hilton Almond, Seth Roberts, and Bob Gallagher.
On Wednesday, the current amount committed to the campaign was announced as over $575K pledged by 23 families, and on Thursday, the total increased to $615K pledged by 28 families. Both included at least three families who are not members of the church!
Two short videos, one on the lighting system and one on the sound system, premiered during the events. They will be shown again before Sunday School and after Worship in the Lower Commons. You can take a peak at them below.
The other two video shorts shown during Sunday receptions as well as the full campaign video were also shared.
