There are many things happening behind the scenes to make this project happen, but here are a few that may impact what you see and hear on Sunday mornings.

  • October 13 (or so): delivery of new electronic console.
    • By Sunday, October 19, the electronic console may be placed in the organ pit on a temporary platform.  If this is not possible, it will be placed in the front of the chancel near the steps to the pulpit.
  • October 15-16: the current console is dismantled / removed.
  • October 17: Possibly install temporary platform in organ pit to hold electronic console
  • November: Excavate floor of the organ pit
    • If the electronic console has been setup in the organ pit, it will need to be moved for this to occur.
  • After Christmas: remove modesty rail in front of organ
  • Mid-March, 2015: the elevator will be delivered and installed in the organ pit.
  • March/April, 2015: Re-install modesty rail
    • Modification to rail will likely be finished in February, but will wait to reinstall until elevator is in place.
  • “Some time in early 2015” (Looking to be April): the new console will be delivered and installed.
    • We will use our new console with our old pipes, returning briefly the electronic organ in use since the old console was removed.
  • July, 2015: work begins on pipes.
    • New console will be unhooked and stored, possibly in Sanctuary transept.
    • Electronic organ delivered/installed at same time pipes are removed.
  • July, 2016: refurbished and repaired pipes re-installed.
  • August, 2016: all organ work completed.
